Coaching
Deep South Collective offers individualized coaching plans to help athletes train with purpose and perform at their highest level. Coaching availability is limited to ensure every athlete receives focused guidance, timely communication, and fully personalized support.
Coaching plans are offered to all applicants as capacity allows. To maintain quality and attention to detail, we may need to limit the number of athletes we accept.


Athlete requirements
To support effective coaching, athletes need a few essentials. We can recommend options across different budgets.
Required
Follow training plans and provide honest feedback
Strava and TrainingPeaks accounts
Reliable, well-maintained mountain bike
Helmet and protective gear
Cycling computer with HR, distance, duration, and GPS
Chest-strap heart rate monitor

Regular checkpoints
We provide weekly 15–30 minute check-ins with each athlete to review both physical and mental response to training. Because life happens and schedules shift, we’re also available for last-minute adjustments to keep the plan aligned with each athlete’s needs.
Coaching fee
Coaching is $100 per month, billed in advance on a month-to-month basis. You may cancel at any time, but all payments already made are non-refundable.

Who can join?
Teens competing in NICA, Georgia Cycling, USA Cycling events, or just looking to build fitness.
What experience do you have?
Our coaches bring 11 years combined coaching and over 40 years mountain biking experience.
How often are practices?
We do not hold regular practices but encourage athletes to connect with friends to ride. One-off in person riding sessions are available at a per-session cost. Talk to your coach for more information.
Do you provide equipment?
No equipment is provided, but we can provide guidance to meet your athlete's budget and goals.
How do I sign up?
Apply here. A coach will contact you to discuss your teen's goals and appropriateness for coaching.
